Introduction to the ecopontos of the Municipality

The placement of ecopontos (recycling points) was one of the top priorities for the Municipality’s environmental policies. Initially, the special waste collection bins were placed in the centres of the eight civil parishes of the county, in schools and even in health centres. They were then placed in locations with higher population density, such as housing blocks and hotels.

What are the ecopontos? Ecopontos are a group of bins designed to separately hold different materials such as paper, glass and domestic waste.
